Towing – Breakdown Related Only
Towing will be provided in the Melbourne Metropolitan area for distance up to 30km.
Flat Battery
We will jump start your vehicle or motorcycle or assist you with getting a new battery (battery at additional cost to vehicle owner).
Flat Tyre
We will change your flat tyre with your roadworthy spare.
If a spare wheel and tyre is available a wheel change can be completed. If a suitable spare tyre is not available Towing service can be provided.
Emergency Fuel
We will supply 10 litres of regular petrol or diesel where possible (fuel at additional cost to vehicle owner).
5 litres of free fuel will be provided to your business vehicle to assist with getting your vehicle to the nearest re-fuelling point.
Taxi Service
A taxi journey will be offered to your drivers when the vehicle cannot be made mobile at roadside in the metropolitan area and where the nominated vehicle has been cleared for towing by the RACV. RACV will arrange a taxi to a rental vehicle centre, and a taxi after dropping off the rental vehicle.
maximum of EIGHT (8) taxi trips will be provided per year per Nominated Vehicle.
Rental Vehicle
Car rental will be provided to drivers following a RACV breakdown tow. This excludes all fuel costs, insurance excess, excess kilometre charges, tax and/or stamp duty charges or any (rental vehicle) relocation fees or any other costs in excess of the daily rate
A maximum of FOUR (4) days vehicle rental will be provided per year per nominated vehicle. (this entitlement can be taken on consecutive days)
Accommodation Vehicle
Accommodation will be offered to drivers when the vehicle cannot be made mobile at roadside where the nominated vehicle is more than 100km distance from the driver’s home address.
A maximum of FOUR (4) nights accommodation will be provided per year per nominated vehicle.
Country Towing.
The vehicle will be towed to the attending Regional Service Centre. Note: Fleet Extra Care provides for up to 30km towing in any direction in regional locations and Fleet Total Care provides up to 100km towing in any direction.
Locksmith
Where the nominated vehicle cannot be opened as a consequence of the keys being lost or locked in the vehicle RACV will attempt to open the vehicle. If RACV cannot open the vehicle the RACV will, if requested, arrange a locksmith up to the value of $150 AUD.
